Meet the Master Judges
Two legendary names in the world of BBQ will serve as Master Judges for select events throughout the tour: Famous Dave’s founder Dave Anderson and BBQ Pitmasters champion Harry Soo. Both are highly respected for their passion, knowledge, and expertise in the craft of BBQ.
“Barbecue is in our bones. From the very beginning, Famous Dave’s was born out of a love for smoked meats, competitions and community,” said Dave Anderson. “To now see that same spirit carried forward through our partnership with the WFC – on a national stage – is a dream come true.”
What to Expect from the Famous Dave’s All-Star BBQ Series
- 10 stops across the country, featuring local and regional barbecue masters battling it out in a three-category cook-off: chicken, ribs, and a wild card entry.
- A live, open judging format, using WFC’s E.A.T. Methodology (execution, appearance and taste) to determine the winners.
- Local celebrities, barbecue experts, and Famous Dave’s franchise owners will be part of the judging panel, providing an added level of expertise and authenticity.
- Winners of each event will receive a Golden Ticket to compete at the 2025 WFC in Indianapolis, with their entry fee waived, plus prize money and cash prizes for top placements in each category.
